11 Day Galapagos 9 Island Cruise

• You get rides and help in the Galápagos, both on land and in small boats. You also get rides to and from the airport. (This is not given if you booked a last-minute deal, a cheap deal, or if the cruise did not book your flight.)
• A trained guide comes with you on every trip. The guide speaks English and Spanish. A full team of workers is on the boat too.
• All your food on the boat is included. You pick what you want from a big table of food (buffet). You also get snacks every day, plus soda, drinking water, coffee, tea, and fresh fruit juice.

Tuesday | Arrival in Galápagos & Dragon Hill

Arrival at Baltra Airport, where you'll be met and transferred to your yacht. In the afternoon, a walk at Dragon Hill (Cerro Dragón) on Santa Cruz leads past a brackish lagoon frequented by flamingos to a nesting area of the Galápagos land iguana.

Wednesday | Santiago Island: Buccaneer Cove & Puerto Egas

The morning is spent at Buccaneer Cove, a dramatic bay of eroded cliffs and sea stacks once used by pirates to careen their ships. In the afternoon, the black lava shoreline of Puerto Egas and the golden sand of Espumilla Beach offer fur seals, marine iguanas and excellent snorkelling.

Thursday | Fernandina & Isabela: Punta Espinoza and Urbina Bay

Punta Espinoza on Fernandina, the youngest and most pristine island in the archipelago, is home to hundreds of marine iguanas, flightless cormorants and the Galápagos penguin. The afternoon brings you to Urbina Bay on Isabela, an uplifted stretch of former seabed where land iguanas and giant tortoises roam.

Friday | Isabela Island: Elizabeth Bay & Punta Moreno

Elizabeth Bay is explored entirely by panga through quiet red mangrove channels, a nursery for sea turtles, rays and penguins. In the afternoon at Punta Moreno you cross a vast field of pahoehoe lava dotted with brackish pools where flamingos and pintail ducks gather.

Saturday | Isabela Island: Sierra Negra Volcano & Tortoise Breeding

The morning offers a hike to Sierra Negra, whose caldera is one of the largest in the world, or a gentler visit to Las Tintoreras and its resident white-tipped reef sharks. In the afternoon, the Arnaldo Tupiza Breeding Center reveals the conservation work behind Isabela's giant tortoise populations.

Sunday | Santa Cruz Island: Charles Darwin Station & Tortuga Bay

A morning at the Charles Darwin Research Station in Puerto Ayora introduces the science and breeding programmes that protect the islands. The afternoon is free at Tortuga Bay, a long white-sand beach with a sheltered lagoon ideal for swimming and kayaking.

Monday | San Cristóbal Island: Isla Lobos & Interpretation Center

The morning is spent at Isla Lobos, a small islet where sea lions doze on the rocks and blue-footed boobies nest along the trail, with fine snorkelling in the channel. In the afternoon you visit the Interpretation Center, which tells the natural and human history of the archipelago from its volcanic birth onward.

Tuesday | San Cristóbal Island: Punta Pitt & Kicker Rock

Punta Pitt is the only site in Galápagos where all three booby species can be seen nesting side by side, reached by a climb through eroded volcanic tuff. The afternoon combines the white coral sand of Cerro Brujo with the towering cliffs of Kicker Rock (León Dormido), a magnet for sharks and rays.

Wednesday | Española Island: Gardner Bay & Punta Suárez

Gardner Bay is a broad white beach populated by a colony of sea lions, with clear water for snorkelling among turtles and reef fish. In the afternoon, Punta Suárez offers one of the richest wildlife walks in the islands: waved albatrosses, marine iguanas and a spectacular blowhole.

Thursday | Floreana Island: Post Office Bay & Cormorant Point

The morning takes in Baroness' Viewpoint and the famous wooden barrel at Post Office Bay, a mail system left by whalers in the 18th century and still in use by travellers today. The afternoon at Cormorant Point features an olivine-green beach, a flamingo lagoon and a nesting beach for sea turtles.

Friday | North Seymour & Departure

A final morning walk on North Seymour passes nesting frigatebirds with their inflated red pouches and blue-footed boobies performing their courtship dance. Afterwards you are transferred to Baltra Airport for your onward flight, and the cruise comes to an end.
