Arrive in the Galapagos and settle into Puerto Ayora

Fly into Baltra Airport within the Galapagos. Your driver is waiting to take you across Santa Cruz island to your hotel in Puerto Ayora airport. Taxi transport between the airport and the hotel is included to your trip. The rest of the day is yours to unwind: visit the harbor-front, watch marine iguanas and pelicans along the pier, or walk out to Tortuga Bay for your first white-sand beach.

Santa Cruz highlands, giant tortoises and the Darwin Station

After breakfast, head up into the green highlands of Santa Cruz to stand at the rim of the Gemelos twin volcano craters. Walk walk among giant tortoises roaming free in their natural habitat. Continue to the world-famous Charles Darwin Research Station. Here you'll learn how micro-evolution, biodiversity and the islands' fragile ecosystems all fit together.

Isabela Island and snorkeling at Las Tintoreras

Board an early speedboat for the roughly 2-hour crossing to Isabela island. Isabela is the largest island in the archipelago. Head out to the Tintoreras islet to snorkel at one of the most rewarding sites in the whole Galapagos. Share the clear water with sea turtles, sea lions, colorful fish, rays and marine iguanas. Blue-footed boobies and small Galapagos penguins live the rocky shore. After time to enjoy Isabela, take the speedboat back to Santa Cruz.

Free day in Puerto Ayora

A full day at your own pace in town. Relax on the white sand at Tortuga Bay, visit local markets and cafes or just relax at your hotel.

Departuer from Galapagos to mainland

After breakfast, your taxi takes you back to Baltra Airport for your flight to the mainland. This ends your Galapagos island-hopping adventure.
