This 9-day Galapagos Islands tour is for travelers who want a mix of exotic nature exploration and proper vacation downtime, built around the islands of Santa Cruz and Plazas. On Santa Cruz, you'll visit the volcano craters and the well-known Darwin Research Station. Walk the trails to Turtle Beach for sea turtles and marine iguanas, then head into the highlands for encounters with the giant land tortoises that have made these islands famous. Local guides explain ecosystems, biodiversity and micro evolution in a way that turns the wildlife into a science story. The Plazas section is a single, memorable foot exploration. Your guide leads the hike to the top of the volcanic island, where paradise-like clear blue water meets white sandy beaches below. Plazas is home to large iguana colonies, tropical birds, and the blue-footed boobies that nest along the cliffs. Bring your camera — both the panoramic views and the close-range wildlife encounters reward it. Three of the nine days carry scheduled activities. The remaining days are for relaxation, with no obligations. Spend them in Puerto Ayora, on Turtle Beach, or however suits you. Airport-hotel taxi service is included.
